Polyester 1000D is a type of fabric made from polyester, where the "1000D" indicates the thickness of the thread used in its production. This material is much thicker than fabrics with lower "D" ratings and is characterized by high strength and durability. It is used in all the areas of the Hiker IV jacket that are most prone to damage in case of an accident.
Polyester 450D is a material with good durability, often used in the production of outdoor and technical clothing where durability is important but very thick material is not required. It is used in areas of the Hiker IV jacket that are less prone to damage during an accident and are responsible for comfort and freedom of movement.

The thoughtful combination of these two materials makes the jacket exceptionally comfortable while still being safe and resistant to abrasion or tearing.
